⚙ Settings
📱 Every setting below is in the game too: press Esc for the phone, then ⚙ Settings. The phone has two more that are only useful in play — the radio's volume, and (on a touch screen) turning the phone upright to open it. Only your name, PIN, world and seed are set here, before you join.
🎮 A controller works as soon as you press a button on it — sticks, triggers, the D-pad as the four quick buttons, Start for the phone. Its buttons are set in the game: Esc → ⚙ Settings → Controller.

Food and water drain — eat at shops, restaurants, vending machines, drive-ins. J: deliveries, taxi fares, races (rivals!), bounties, gang clear-outs, heists, escorts. A gun out inside a store: rob it. Gangs in matching jackets leave you alone until you don't. One star: an officer on foot arrests you if he catches you — get in a car; two stars they ram, three they shoot, four they put roadblocks across the road ahead. Rain makes roads slippery.
